In June, Colin passed the American Guild of Organists' Choirmaster certification exam, also winning the prize for the top score for that exam in 2019. The exam comprises both practical and written work. The practical component consists of directing a quartet, keyboard tests, and ear training tests. The written portion includes hymnody, plainchant, liturgy, choral repertoire, rehearsal technique, vocal technique, analysis, and general music knowledge.
